Dear Boarders, Riding School, IEA, Wofford College and Friends,

The time has come for me to take a step back from the both the joys and the rigors of owning Motlow Creek Equestrian Center. With that, I am pleased to announce that I have formally “handed the reins” to new ownership and management of Motlow Creek. With gratitude and enthusiasm from both Ken and me, Jackie and Joey Stewart will become the new owners and managers of this beloved farm.

I want to assure everyone that the Stewarts share my passion and desire to see Motlow Creek continue in much the same fashion as it has under my direction. They also want to take what has already been established and substantially build on what has been accomplished over the last 14 years of my ownership. It is important for all of us to acknowledge that you cannot have growth without change; that change, no matter how small or great, is fundamental to moving forward.

I am not actually going anywhere. I will continue to be a part of Motlow Creek as a boarder. And, I am completely confident that Jackie and Joey, along with their twin daughters Sabria and Elizabeth, will bring the same level of excellent care you have all come to count on and enjoy.

And now, it is my pleasure to introduce the Stewarts:

Jackie Stewart looks at ownership of Motlow Creek Equestrian Center as many dreams come true. As a veteran of both business and athletics, horses bring together her passions! Jackie played collegiate volleyball at Clemson University and saw conference championships and NCAA tournament appearances. Her high school years were spent playing at a championship level for Junior Olympic Volleyball.

Having competed at a high level is what excites her to be a part of Motlow Creek and to support Ashley Conkle-Frick, Pam Stone and Lisa Miller in their training of equestrian athletes. “I feel that Motlow Creek is a very established and competitive barn and I would like to continue to elevate the team and the athletes to their full potential. I also appreciate the care given to my children and their horses during the three years we have been a client at the barn and will work hard to continue that excellence.”

Joining Jackie is her husband Joey and daughters Elizabeth and Sabria. Joey is a United States Air Force veteran and employed with Lockeed Martin.

Joey is looking forward to maintaining the grounds and facilities. Elizabeth and Sabria love showing and keeping the barn cats happy.

We are thankful of Sally’s support during this process and we love our Motlow Creek community.
